the wait.

someone asked you for a favor, but you don't want to do it.  no, you actually in doubt and couldn't decide if you want to do it.  so you gave a price, so high, you actually let her/ him to decide the result. if s/he's willing to pay, then you're willing to do, at least you got something even though you're still unsure. while s/he's willing but s/he didn't have it, so s/he asked you to wait.  so you wait.

and wait.

and wait.

and started to change your mind.

no, you actually wondered if s/he had changed her/ his mind because you didn't hear from her/ him unless you poked.  but you don't want to poke.  you still don't know if you actually want to do the favor.

and now you restless.  you want everything be cleared at once, but you didn't want to reject the request because you're actually hoping to get paid. so you wait.

and wait.

and still wait.

and will wait until s/he comes back to you and confirmed whether the favor will be paid or cancelled instead.
